And not just because our packs arrived just before noon - though we were extremely relieved about that. Everything was there - including our Alhambra booking confirmation without which today would have turned out very differently. Everything - except a set of hiking poles. They'd had been tightly secured to our packs. Mine arrived, Domi's didn't.
Thankfully tonight we found a store not far away and he was able to replace them. We start the Camino Mozarabe the day after tomorrow, on 1 May. And from what we've read about the first week's ascents and descents, those poles will come in handy.
Back to today. With blue skies, and sun shining bright, we spent the whole afternoon and into early evening at the Alhambra. It was magical. If you've been there, well you don't need me to tell you what a special place it is. If you haven't - but have the opportunity to visit one day ...
